This book examines Japan's territorial claims and historical distortions concerning Dokdo from diverse perspectives, including international law, history, geography, international politics, and geopolitics. It explores the legal nature of Japan's incorporation of Dokdo in 1905, Japan's claims concerning the island's name and "inherent territory," as well as Joseon's policies toward Ulleungdo, historical maps depicting Dokdo, postwar Japanese legislation, and perceptions of Korea's Peace Line.   작가 소개

지은이 : 김영수
성균관대학교 역사교육과 및 사학과 대학원을 졸업하고 모스크바국립대학교 역사학부에서 역사학박사를 받았다. 주요 단독 저서로는 『미ㅤㅉㅔㄹ의 시기: 을미사변과 아관파천』(2012), 『명성황후 최후의 날: 서양인 사바찐이 목격한 을미사변 그 하루의 기억』(2014), 『제국의 이중성: 근대 독도를 둘러싼 한국·일본·러시아』(2019), 『고종과 아관파천: 이희, 러시아공사관에서 375일』(2020), 『100년 전의 세계일주: 대한제국의 운명을 건 민영환의 비밀외교』(2020), 『울릉도 1882: 검찰사 이규원의 시간여행』(2024) 등이 있다. 2013년 『문학의 오늘』에 「안톤 체홉의 현장보고서 사할린섬」, 「프로젝트 문학을 개척한 러시아 현대작가 아쿠닌」 등의 문학평론을 발표했다. 한국근대사 및 한러관계사를 전공했으며 동북아역사재단 독도동해 연구실장, 독도연구소장, 교육연수원 교수, 교양총서편찬위원장을 역임하고, 현재 동북아역사재단 책임연구위원으로 있다.
